250_Proof-Patricia-Glazebrook(1)Dr. Patricia Glazebrook, is the Professor and Chair of the Department of Philosophy and Religion Studies at the University of North Texas (USA). For the past seven years, she has been researching climate change impacts on women subsistence farmers in Ghana, with particular attention to the challenge of integrating women farmers’ needs into climate adaptation policy and processes.

Describe yourself in 3 words?

I am a philosopher and climate justice advocate.

Tell us a little about the work you do and what you are doing at present?

I’m an academic researcher on climate change impacts on women subsistence farmers in Africa.

What inspires you?

I am inspired by women’s strength and resilience, and capacity to love and acre for others in even the most difficult circumstances.

What are you most looking forward to about the 100 Women and Earth Climate Summit?

I am looking forward to planning for real global change, organized by women but benefiting all.

Do you have a message or a tip for our 1 Million Women community about how to live with the least impact on the planet?

Everyone has to find their own path. Solidarity is more important than judging each other.

  • picA bit more: Dr. Trish Glazebrook was educated in Canada and received her PhD in Philosophy from the University of Toronto. She is currently Professor and Chair of the Department of Philosophy and Religion Studies at the University of North Texas. She is a member of the Board of Governors of the Center for Research in Environment and Sustainable Development in Lagos, Nigeria, where she is also a Research Associate at Osun State University.
