Describe yourself in 3 words?
Inspired, on the edge, networker
Tell us a little about the work you do and what you are doing at present?
I currently serve as President of the Global Ecovillage Network (GEN-International). GEN was set up in 1995 to support organisations and societies to transition into resilience, learning to sustain and regenerate their social and natural environments. GEN builds bridges between policy-makers, academics, entrepreneurs and sustainable community networks across the globe. GEN has consultative status in the UN – ECOSOC. We work through broad regional network spanning Africa, Europe, Asia/Oceania, Latin America, and the North Americas.
What inspires you?
The GEN-networks are currently going through a powerful process of emergence and growth. I feel myself stretching into a growing awareness for the world within my own being. Doing this work brings me in contact with many people all over the globe, that are doing amazing work through self- and community-empowerment. It is an incredible privilege to constantly receive news about people walking their talk and implementing new and ancient solutions! It gives hope and joy. Scaling up these civil society movements will help us move from collective stupidity to collective wisdom and intelligence.
What are you most looking forward to about the 100 Women and Earth Climate Summit?
Connecting to women of power and sensitivity. Building networks of feminine leadership, mentoring and support.
Do you have a message or a tip for our 1 Million Women community about how to live with the least impact on the planet?
Connect to your neighbours, strengthen your community, love what you do, care for what is around you. Allow the sweetness of life to rain on your heart.
