I follow IMW on facebook – congratulations! It’s a great movement.
I thought you may be interested to know that after five long years we have completed our research trial into consumer energy use. We found that simple, easy measures were highly effective in helping people conserve energy. More than 3,500 households participated in our trial, and each home saved an average of 2kwh every day.
We also supported three Victorian communities to complete a feasability study to look at options to generate power from renewable sources through a community enterprise model.
We’re now working with the Victorian Government to support the uptake of community renewable energy. Would you like to know more? Could you help us get the message out- that developing a renewable power station is within the means of many Victorian communities?
