1 Million Women is delighted to announce that Natalie Isaacs, 1MW CEO and Founder is heading to The Big Apple for the International Women’s Earth and Climate Summit to be held in New York this September.

The IWECI summit will bring together 100 woman delegates from all the world – grassroots activists, economists, scientists, businesswomen, Indigenous leaders, policy-makers, faith leaders, and culture shapers for three days to help further a women’s climate action agenda. WOW!

It’s an invitation only summit at the New York site for these 100 women, selected by coordinating organisation The International Women’s Earth and Climate Initiative. We are so proud Nat is one of them and that 1 Million Women will be represented.

Former Irish President Mary Robinson spent a very special evening with 1 Million Women in 2012.

Some of the other fantastic women attending are Vandana Shiva, Jane Goodall, Naomi Klein and Marina Silva to name a few. Mary Robinson, who has been involved with 1 Million Women before will also be there.

The IWECI describe their work as recognising…

…the common but differentiated responsibilities for solving the crisis of global climate change.

It’s true, we all have our own and very different parts to play in this issue. We are putting together a 1 Million Women agenda for Nat to take with her to New York, to capture what the women of Australia are feeling about climate change and the questions they would like discussed in a worldwide arena.

1 Million Women is a movement of women taking action on climate change through the way that we live. We take practical action in our own homes, workplaces and communities, and build our collective power as women to drive change .

Together we can take action on climate change and make a difference.
